Last year, our video blog series explained how to set up and use a hydraulic torque wrench.
Today, we’ll look at how to make sure those wrenches are providing proper torque.
In the clip below, Maxpro’s Tom Macey walks viewers through explaining some of the steps involved in calibrating a hydraulic torque wrench.
“It’s important to realize that hydraulic torque wrenches should all be individually calibrated,” Macey says. “They are not all the same…cannot all use the same pressure-to-torque charts.”
Maxpro is capable of calibrating torque wrenches up to 25,000 ft./lbs. at its lab. We are proud of the investment we’ve made in our state-of-the-art certification and calibration equipment, all part of a laboratory that has been accredited by A2LA, the country’s top ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation agency.
