How frequently should you recalibrate industrial torque wrenches?

It depends on the wrench, and how it’s being used. Calibration is important because it ensures that a torque wrench is accurate and reliable. Some professionals suggest calibration after 2,500 repetitions, working on the idea that the tool’s performance is affected between 2,500 and 3,000 repetitions.

What types of torque wrenches and other devices can Maxpro calibrate?

We can calibrate Manual, Pneumatic, Battery, Electric, and Hydraulic torque wrenches along with Pressure Gauges and Transducers:

  • Torque transducers from 0 to 20,000 ft. lbs.
  • Torque wrenches from 50 to 50,000 ft. lbs.
  • Pressure gauges from 0 to 10,000 PSI.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric wrenches
What does ISO 17025 mean?

Developed 20 years ago, ISO 17025 is a standard that shows that a calibration lab is operating in a technically proficient fashion using a documented quality system to produce accurate results. In our industry, ISO 17025 is considered the premier standard for calibration labs.

Why is ISO 17025 so valuable?

When you use a company that provides calibration according to ISO 17025 standards, you know that you’re working with a lab that:

  • Has its work checked and audited by an outside accreditation group, such as A2LA

In addition, ISO 17025 calibration will give you peace of mind that:

Why should I get my torque wrenches calibrated from Maxpro?

Some tools can function for a long time without needing much special care, while others require regular adjustment. Torque wrenches fall into that second category, demanding regular calibration performed by professionals.

How long does it take to get my to torque wrenches calibrated from Maxpro?

From receipt of the tool, our goal turn around is about 5 to 7 business days.

Is it easy to send in a torque wrench to Maxpro for service?

Yes, it’s extremely easy. All you need to do is:

  • Print out the Customer Service Request form
  • Fill out the form to the best of your ability
  • Include the form in the box along with the tools you are sending in
  • Send your tool to the address listed on the form

You'll receive a quote from us within 3 days of receiving the tools.

Does Maxpro offer any type of Mobile calibration service so my tools don’t have to leave our facility?

We do offer mobile calibration services. Our calibration van is also ISO 17025 accredited. Let us come to your facility, so your tools don’t have to come to us.

Will Maxpro just sell parts instead of having to send in a tool for service?

Our inventory on parts is very deep and we will just sell parts if needed. However, the best way to be sure that your tool gets the correct parts installed is to send them to our state-of-the-art service center.

Can I rent various styles of torque wrenches from Maxpro?

Yes, you can. Manual Clicker, Pneumatic, Battery, Electric, and Hydraulic torque wrenches are available from our rental fleet.

Can you briefly explain Maxpro’s torque wrench rental pricing?

We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rental rates. Prices vary depending on the type and size of the tool that you need. Our rental terms and conditions are available here.

Can I purchase any of the tools from the Maxpro rental fleet?

Yes, most of our rental tools are available for resale. If you have a rental with us and are interested in purchasing the tool that you have, we can make arrangements for you to purchase that equipment at a very fair market price.

Can any tool I rent from Maxpro also be purchased as new?

Yes, any of the tools that you might be renting are also available as new tools.

Is there any type of training or support when it comes to the operational process of any of the tools Maxpro offers?

Yes, if you are picking tools up at our facility, we will go over the operation process with you in our shop. We can also make arrangements to do some type of live video training for anyone who can’t come to our facility. At the very least we can walk you through a problem or situation right over the phone.

Are the new tools that Maxpro sells in stock most of the time?

Yes! Our inventory is usually very deep, however, there are times that our inventory can become low due to "turn arounds" or "Shut downs”. Lead times on replacement tools can be 2 to 4 weeks.
